[bold]Overview[/bold]
Your Photo Gallery is organized much in the same you would organize photo prints - in albums.
You post your pictures into an album in the gallery by using your web browser. You simply login and all the controls become available.
You start by creating an album if you are not just adding to an existing album.
Uploading the images consists of choosing the Add Photos command, browsing for the image or images you want to upload on your hard drive, selecting them and hitting the upload button.
You can do things with the photos when you upload them and afterwards as well, such as adding titles and captions, rotating or moving the images, etc.
[bold]Preparation of Images[/bold]
It is best to prepare the images in advance of uploading them.
File Size – the Gallery system processes all images for posting, including reducing the file size. Monitors only project at 72dpi so any more resolution than that is unnecessary and a waste of memory and download speed.
So uploading a high resolution file will mean it will just take longer and you won’t be any better off in terms of image quality. So if can reduce the image resolution in a program like PhotoShop or PhotoEditor you can save yourself some upload time.
Giving your images descriptive file names can also be beneficial in the uploading process, helping you to know what to put where.
[bold]Login[/bold]
1. Obtain a username and password from your webmaster.
2. Go to the Gallery page on your website (usually www.yourdomain.com/gallery)
3. Click on the Login link in the top right area of the page
4. Enter your username and password and press the Login button
You are now logged in. If you had trouble try again and be careful when entering your login information (username and password) to be sure it is exactly as provided by your webmaster especially the use capitals and lowercase.
